ΜΙΚΡΟΜΕΣΑΙΟΣ ΠΑΤΡΙΩΤΗΣ: Εικόνες σοκ από την Ινδία στον Γάγγη - Κόπρανα, κουφάρια ανθρώπων και νεκρά ζώα επιπλέουν πλάι σε απτόητους Ινδούς που πλένονται και πίνουν νερό από το ίδιο ποτάμι!

Οι αναγνώστες οφείλουν να γνωρίζουν ότι το περιεχόμενό τους ενδεχομένως να τους ενοχλήσει.
Ατέλειωτα σμήνη ανθρώπων συναθροίζονται στις ακτές του πιο ιερού και πιο μολυσμένου ποταμού του κόσμου. Βυθισμένοι στα αδιαφανή, θανατηφόρα, πηχτά νερά του μέχρι τη μέση, κάποιοι ...

προσεύχονται. Κάποιοι άλλοι πλένουν τα ρούχα τους. Ψαρεύουν. Λούζονται. Σβήνουν ακόμη και τη δίψα τους πίνοντας το νερό του από τη χούφτα τους.
Ακριβώς δίπλα τους κουφάρια νεκρών ανθρώπων και ζώων επιπλέουν σε αποσύνθεση, «τουμπανιασμένα», υπόλευκα. Ψάρια, κοράκια και σκυλιά τρέφονται με τις σηπόμενες σάρκες τους. Από το ίδιο νερό θα αντλήσουν τις πρώτες ύλες της διατροφής τους.
Πιο πίσω, στο στέρεο έδαφος, εκατοντάδες τετραγωνικά χιλιόμετρα, καλυμμένα με ανθρώπινα κόπρανα. Περπατούν πάνω τους ως εάν να είναι άνευ σημασίας. Παραδίπλα, μία γυναίκα «στεγνώνει» σε πεζούλες κόπρανα αγελάδων. Η οσμή είναι ανυπόφορη και επιδεινώνεται κι άλλο από τη μυρωδιά των νεκρών σωμάτων που καίνε σε κοινή θέα ελλείψει καυσόξυλων.
Το θέαμα είναι αδιανόητο. Ξεπερνάει τα απώτατα όρια και της πιο διεστραμμένης φαντασίας.
Οι ανυπόφορες εικόνες που ακολουθούν δεν καταγράφουν παρά ένα ελάχιστο μέρος της φρικώδους πραγματικότητας στις όχθες του Γάγγη ποταμού στην Ινδία.
